Personal

Born in West Denton in Northumberland, I’m British, happily married to an amazing wife and we have one son, I’m in excellent health and although a UK Citizen, I currently hold a Manx passport and clean Manx driving licence.

I wanted to enhance myself and any future employment prospects in fields related to my marine/survey background, so I undertook to train as a commercial drone pilot and gained my PfCO in March 2017.

Drone work is a continuously developing sector as they can be useful in situations where personal safety may be compromised (thermal imaging was used in the Cheshire casualty where highly toxic gases were being emitted from the cargo decomposition).

I enjoy saltwater and freshwater fishing, competitive target shooting and I’m keenly interested in photography. I used to develop my own B&W and colour prints but I much prefer the flexibility and simplicity associated with modern digital cameras, computers and printers.

Quality time with my family is also very important to me.
